Tuning In To Specific Feedback so we can Evaluate our Work

Today was a day for us to return to the importance of giving specific feedback to move our learning forward.  We watched a really informative video called Austin's Butterfly.  Here is a link for you:  Austin's Butterly

After we watched the video we talked about what the main idea is.  Here are some of our thoughts:

"giving feedback"  (kind and specific)
"receiving feedback to make progress to adjust our learning/work/progress."
"never give up"
"try and try again"
"practice makes progress"  - "make many prototypes/drafts"
"he tried his best because he took on the feedback."
"they were collaborating"  collaboration = feedback because you are listening to each other.

See if you agree with us, when you watch the video.

We then practiced giving each other kind and specific feedback with on our Picasso Portraits using the criteria checklist.  We decided to make a scoring rubric  that looks like this ...
1 = not yet, 2 = getting there, 3 = making progress, 4 = Excellent (right on target).

Here are some photos of us giving specific feedback to each other:

Look at how engaged and committed you are to giving each other the best feedback.
