Community Walk on Thursday May 25th
"What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.” —CROWFOOT, CHIEF OF THE SIKSIKA FIRST NATION, 1890”

To carry on our exploration of neighborhood ecosystems we are heading out on another community walk down through the Nose Creek pathways in the community and under Symons Valley Parkway to the observe the pond ecosystems behind the Fire Station. It is around 1.3 km from the school pond and the same distance to return. On Thursday, May 25th we will be leaving at 8:15 and returning to school around 10:00. We will be sketching, observing, wondering and inferring about animal life cycles, adaptations, biodiversity, and the relationship between humans and animals in an urban setting.
Students please wear walking shoes, a hat and sun screen. Bring a water bottle and an extra snack.
