Elemental Poetry on Friday

To carry on our writing journey using I am Poems and connecting back to cycles in science we put our creative graphic designer and author lenses on today to represent our growing understanding of how specific cycles in nature are connected.  For example, the water cycle and the rock cycle.  We used the four elements to structure our thinking (Air, Earth, Water and Fire).  Have a look at some of the amazing artwork and symbols that were created.

Here are some of the brilliant poems we wrote.  See if they cause you to visualize as you read.

I am air
I whistle,dip,and dive,
I move gracefully,swiftly,and purposefully.
I create moaning wind,and life.
I help people breathe, play, and stay healthy.
I promise by 2030 everyone will get clean air
I am oxegen.

I am water
I  drift and pound.
I move  silently,curiously and  secretly
I create giant waves,closol oceans,dancing vortex’s
I help  people grow food,I keep all living things hydrated
I promise to let all people have access to water
I am a protector.

I am water.
I  rush and dance.
I move  adventurously, curiously, and rapidly.
I create rocks, stormy waves and wind.
I help every living thing and everything.
I promise to take care of all ecosystems and life.
I am a natural resource.

I am water

I move if a hurricane happened
I make crash where I am a bolder
I move rapidly, powerfully, and quickly
I create currents, powerful rain, and hail stones
I help people build land
I promise to let ocean animals drink me and be with me
I am ocean

I'll bet you are proud to be the parents of such creative children! I know I'm proud to hang out with these brilliant minds everyday!
